I was at the game. I drove down from Portland. It suprised the hell out of me to see about 1,000 LSU fans there. Corvallis is probably the size of Starkville, but very nice mountain setting. The arena is wayyyyyyyy outdated. LSU should have beat the hell out of the Beavers. We were awful at shooting the 3. Baby kept us in it. We deinitely did not look like a top 25 team. Magnum Rolle needs to tighten up a little. He probably needs to gain about 30-40 pounds.
i was glad to see this little note in an an article on lsusports.net: "Martin On The Way In other notes, the wait for Terry Martin is no longer in Baton Rouge but at the Seattle-Tacoma airport where Martin was supposed to arrive sometime around 9 p.m. PST on a flight from Dallas. Martin left Baton Rouge at mid-afternoon Central Time after getting his grades posted and certified, thus completing his one year in residency at LSU after transferring from Texas Tech." sweet. maybe this guy is gonna be exactly what we need as far as shooting and depth. Pay close attention to the part I put in bold. You said the women are more exciting to watch. That is indeed laughable to me. They deserve fan support and get some of my money each year for tickets to a few of their games. Exciting games though? Not exactly.....
It is exciting to see how mnay layups girls miss in a game. At least girls jump on the college level. I hate high schoolers that get on their toes and try to grab the ball.
I find them exciting and I am not a big basketball fan. But I don't pretend to speak for everyone. To each his own.
listen, i love pokey as much as anyone, and i am good friends with Ashley Thomas, but i'd take baseball, men's bball, football, softball, track, and even a competitive gymnastics meet over women's bball....
