Good effort. They were up for most of the game, so that's a good sign, just gotta learn to finish better. I'm excited about SEC play coming up soon. I hope LSU can finish top 3 in the West & make the tourney with some impressive wins.

One step at a time...Trent's system is being installed year by year. Before you know it he'll bring a high level of stability to LSU for many years.

My main concern is...once he gets a national rep for turning LSU's program around, he'll be a hot commodity. Will we be able to keep him? Our basketball fan base is non existent. The core is there, but there's WAY too many bandwagon fans out there.

And I don't want to hear about how we're being distracted by Football...that's a petty excuse. Too many people just waiting for wins.

It's gut check time...are you a true sports fan?...are you really a Tiger fan?

If he wins you don't have to worry about losing the bandwagon fans.

UV played great defense and they did not miss down the stretch. I thought we played well, but we have to take better care of the ball on offense and shoot better. One guy in double figures against a top 25 opponent won't cut it. But all in all, I'm encouraged by the start this year.

Stringer looked rusty. Also, his shot selection resembled his freshman year a little.
