on coaches show wade says he wants ole miss for the currently open date next wednesday, even if he has to go there and play in oxford a second time. failing that he says he has a list of ACC teams he wants.

he also says he expects the SEC to fuck it up and not let games happen somehow

A couple minutes in and it sounds like football is in trouble.

Trip to Rose Bowl for football is “expected”. Neutral site game in Vegas in the future a possibility.

Can’t talk about WW because of lawyers; pretty noncommittal. Finances are too tight in COVID era for PMAC renovations or a new venue, but ideally something would be done.

Fargas will be evaluated at the end of season; ultimately programs need to compete for championships.

Passes on to Mainieri fan disappointment that we aren’t doing better.

Hopes COVID goes away, but powerless.

josh gray will play vs their bigs. with gray in, entire defense must be changed so that they dont force matchup switches that leave gray on a speedy guard.

if florida would have been a little quicker to let LSU know they cancelled, they could have flown to play at ARK saturday.

wade is working hard to schedule a game next wednesday. says "this isnt football" and is willing to play 3 games a week.

my ticket app on my phone has some games as "cancelled" and others are "postponed" and the ticket is still valid, presumably for a game that might happen.

that would be awesome if VCU could happen. LSU has money, they use chartered planes. they could fly anywhere on little notice and play some ball.

 

wade says alex fudge is redshirted but he is tempted to play him and he would be useful now. says he promised his family and coach he was redshirted.

surely given how insane this year has been with eligibility and transfer nonsense, and that fudge did not arrive until january, would he really lose a year of eligibility?

also says he will dig deep into transfer market. team needs to "get older".

makes one wonder who is gone. seneca knight maybe purely a guy here to practice and get a free semester of food and education. they did that last year with that big guy who never played a game and then left. (deshawn thomas)

last year i was sorry bishop left. he has been spectacular at james madison, 20 pts a game.

team has no seniors and 3 coming in already. i am not gonna do the math right now but it looks like there could be some turnover. maybe hyatt will finally get the axe?

 

wade says there will be a new lineup. i predict josh gray will start.

gray is exciting because is really big, not just tall but big. and seems fairly athletic. he seems to have poor basketball skills but that doesnt mean he cant throw down a nuclear jam, which i would enjoy.

bryan-penn johnson was even bigger, he was a fucking freakmonster but his hands were so terrible he could neither catch an entry pass nor grab a board off the glass. he was useless. just had to no way to get the rock. havent seen josh gray enough to know whats the deal with him. i think its possible he is really good. i know he played behind some russian monster in high school at an elite championship level school, and he was not particularly devoted to basketball until recently.

kavell bigby williams, like josh gray, was a soccer player.

the true one dimensional big is almost extinct unless you are as strong as steven adams. even centers are expected to pass and shoot like combo guards did 15 years ago. nikola jokic is one the best passers on earth and he weighs like 285 pounds. i think this is because of how positionless the game has become. everyone is spaced out and switching on defense and the next thing you know gray is covering a 6-1 point guard that runs past him like he is still. so playing a pure big changes the whole style of play.
