Creative thinking. But it seems like there could be a lot of unintended consequences that would make both less interesting than they currently are.

 

preseason press conf. first game next week

 

i am watching the press conf now.

1. he says justice williams and shareef are running, shareef will return to practice. justice slightly behind.

2. he mentions he thinks he knows his 8 man rotation.

lemme pause the vid and speculate.

this means pinson gaines and murray are gonna play some serious minutes.

 

wade says an architecture firm was here and figuring shit out and big news is coming soon. all aspects he says.

 

He also says we’re going to be different. More attention to detail.

 

defeinitely different in terrms of how the offense will work. last year 3 guys could score on their own, and one of then had the greenest light i have ever seen. i mean that fucking light was GREEN for cam thomas.

we will see more movement i think, presumably facilitated by pinson, and i think as the season goes, it will be impossible to keep gaines down. he will slowly take minutes from pinson, or maybe play with pinson over murray. wade likes to play two "combo" guards, two guys sharing the offense, unless he has tremont waters, who was dominant as primary ball hander.

since the opener is in less than a week, i will project with perfect accuracy the starting lineup:

gaines will be a 6th man and come in early for murray, then stay in for pinson when murray comes back in. wilkinson will play early and often. fudge will get 10 minutes. thats the 8 in the rotation. over the season the hope is that o'neal proves something, which i think he will, if healthy. but jesus that guy is fragile!

colbert will play after the game is decided. if ezewiro plays it will indicate he isnt redshirting, but i think he might be. he strikes me as the rawest of raw strongmen. huge strong guy, but a bit of a tweener. too short, and too unskilled. should be a tight end like gronk. or maybe he can learn to shoot, who knows. i think he is a poor mans emmit williams. strong and athletic, but too small and unskilled.

i agree, but wade likes 8. he does say, i will quote him from memory:

"we have a 9th guy we can throw out there. and shareef is getting healthy and he can play"

wade notes that his SEC champ team was 8 deep. he says last year was 6 deep.
