Because I just don't see a "team". I see 5 guys and 1 ball. Thomas and Smart accounted for almost ALL of our scoring. That is not coaching. I just don't see it. I want to see him coach, so far I don't. I see guys on auto-pilot and this is what you get when you roll that way. You lose to a team you should have beaten.

Damn. USC is beating the sh*t out of Kansas. No big deal. My bracket is toast anyway.

its the tournament, literally every team in it will end on a loss except one. if you lose to a 1 seed, thats not really a huge failure.

again, i argue that the offense plays that way by design, and is awesome. the failure is largely transition defense and rebounding, but every team has flaws.

I agree, my argument is it doesn't have to be that way. That is a coaching failure! That is the epitome of throwing the ball out there and saying "you guys are all really good, just go play" and that is exactly what it looks like. You can't even call it organized grabass because it isn't organized.
I was talking to my son at the half and I told him we don't move the ball. We pass it but we don't MOVE it. I see other teams make passes and move people into positions that allow open shots. We just pass it until the shot clock is down and whomever has it last better make it. That is a recipe for losing and that is exactly what we do when we aren't sending Gaines into the land of the trees to force up some ridiculous bullshit. This is on Wade 100% he had the talent to make a very deep run. One of two things happened, he either doesn't know how to coach or this is the way he thinks it should be. I'm not sure which I'm more pissed off about.

well the recipe wins more games than every other SEC team over the last 3 years.

tennessee had buckets of talent and was a top 10 team coming into the season. LSU smoked em and they got destroyed by oregon st, a 12 seed in the first round. kentucky has an army of 5 star destroyers and they imploded and didnt make the dance. again i think we should look at the bigger picture and not consider a loss in the tournament vs a 1 seed anything other than a pretty respectable way to end a season

Refresh my memory. How far did you have us going in the tournament?

not only is there some talent coming next year, some of it might be just what we need, especially jerrell colbert, a big that can shoot.

maybe i am wrong and they need more size. some people theorize that smaller guys tire out because they have to help too much on defense if there is no big man enforcer.

however, with a big man that cant shoot, it cripples the offense. makes them have to play a different style. all players need to be able to shoot on an ideal team. my understanding is that colbert can shoot.

the ideal of course a big man that can block shots and hit 3s like joel embiid. but the vanishing rarity of that may mean that no college teams can really play like that. maybe if shareef puts on weight and improves he can do the job. he is tall and long and is reportedly able to shoot.

also, because of turnover and exits, wade has not had a chance to have any real 4 yer players except mays. and mays was awesome by the time he left. wade says he wants a team that is "older". would be nice to get a mix of 5 star one and dones and guys like darius days that make it to their senior year and anchor the squad. like that guy admiral schofield did at tennessee.
