The starter for W&M is Freshman Matt Wainman (an Eagle Scout), who went undefeated in regular season games in high school and led his high school, Osburn Park, to it's first regular season championship. Had a 1.27 ERA over 88 innings over his junior and senior seasons, striking out 131. Against U-Maryland-Eastern Shore last week (his first NCAA appearance before today), Wainman gave up 7 runs on 8 hits in 3.1 innings for a 13.50 ERA.
