Baseball Polls for 3/23 (updated for 3/30 polls)

i agree with both the devil and jesus.

for now arky deserves the ranking because of their record. because when you look at a couple of our losses *cough*usl*cough* we could have dropped a bit more than we did a couple of weeks ago, pretty much the same difference.

but i also agree that when we get deeper into the sec schedule and arky plays some of the tougher sec teams, i see their record - and ranking - dropping.

id also like to see lsu win a freakin friday night game and sweep an sec series. or two. or three.

 

The Devil and "Jesus" are not in disagreement. The Devil is talking about the current moment and the unlikely event that Arky keeps winning through a more difficult run in their schedule.

"Jesus" is talking about a more likely outcome once the competition gets tougher.

The Devil happens to agree with Jesus as well. :lol:

wow... all i really meant was that ark was a bit untested and to jump THAT far up seemed a little bit premature. it's kinda like the texas a&m situation. they were ranked a lot higher than needed because of weak schedule.... but they've fallen to about where they belong. but really, all this means is that trying to rank baseball teams is a dumb thing to even attempt.

LSU will be lucky to take 8 of 9 from Florida, Auburn and Miss State.

Yeah, I agree. It is really hard to sweep anyone in the SEC. On the other hand Arkansas would be pretty hard pressed to do better than 6 of 9 against Kentucky, USC, and Ole Miss.
