    Biased?

Seriously, I never enjoyed baseball because I was placed in right field, where I would just sit down and watch as the balls were hit into the infield time and time again. YMCA probably scarred me for life.

Yep. I remember one Saturday when my son's baseball team was playing for a city championship and his soccer team was playing in the state tourney, the same day. A lot of kids couldn't do both and gave up baseball. I hate soccer. I don't understand it and I don't want to. And I don't like those minivans either. :nope:

One day, I was mowing my lawn in Shenandoah and a teenage soccer referee (still had his uniform on) threw out a gatorade bottle from his car which shattered on my driveway. I jumped in my car and followed him home and made him come back and pick up every piece of glass or get his arse whipped. Soccer people. Communists. :po:

Man, you must be ooooooo--ld. :hihi: I can't even remember when Gatorade was glass!

I live in Shenandoah right now in fact, two blocks from my parent's old house. One day it was flooding on General Forrest very badly (several cars were stalled) and in the heat of the moment I drove on someone's lawn to avoid the worst flooding. Of course the woman came out of the house screaming at me and threatening me with her husband and bodily harm. I didn't stall on her lawn or anything so the damage wasn't bad at all, but I told the old b**** to bring it on. I told her I'd pay for the damage, but I wasn't going to sit there and allow her old ass to threaten me. Needless to say, nothing came of it ;)

Rommates played hockey while I was in college and some of the Kingfish players were around occasionally. Never heard "eh?" so much in my life. Definitely canadians lol.

I just dont see the appeal of soccer. It's so much effort for little reward. Its so BORING to watch. Plus, it results the most fan deaths and riots this side of Detroit Rock City. I would rather watch Pee Wee Hockey then watch Pro Soccer. Anyone remember the Kingfish intermissions? Where the Lil guys would play? They almost never scored. I'd watch that before soccer.

Regarding blacks in baseball I agree with the guy that said its easier to just pick up a basketball and embrace the sport as opposed to playing baseball. This isnt just for Blacks but for all races. It's easy to get a ball and go to a park. You can shoot all day. You can play different games with yourself. I used to and sometimes still play situations. 10 seconds to go down by 2. Or a game called Beat Michael Jordan. You shoot a free throw to start. Every bucket you hit counts as 1 point. Everyone you miss counts as 2 for MJ. You have to move around the Key. First to 10 wins. When I was a freshmen I went 0-85 at one point. lol On the pro level in baseball many of the best players are black. But, many of college baseball players, White and Black skip college b/c there are so many levels of the minors that they can get into and get paid to play. Plus, its not like you can just go outside and play baseball with yourself. You atleast need one person to pitch to you. Then you need an endless supply of Tennis balls or something. Throwing the ball up and hitting it, then going to get it gets old. This is basically why many kids play basketball over baseball.
