sorry to those who cant view the game for my poor pbp...slacking compared to my standards set the last couple of years. free time has just become something of the past this was more of an updates thread
it will be a tough saturday and sunday, that's for sure. this auburn team can hit! if it wouldn't have been for the errors in the first inning this game would have been a lot closer throughout. but then again if not for a 12 inning game where we had to use ott, bradshaw might not have been used, giving up 5 runs. it will be interesting to see how our pitching staff responds.
Sometimes its a pitchers duel, sometimes its a sluggers feast, as long as we come out on top yep, I'm good with it.
On the road, listening to the game on and off on WWL while traveling across southern Missouri last night. We didn’t have a clear signal all the time, so I really wish Hawthorn (spelling?) would give a score more often. Anyway, glad to get the win. Hope Bradshaw’s confidence isn’t too shaken by his bad outing. ldskule:
yeah they don't give many score/inning updates at all. i think every time they go to extended commercial break they should say the score and inning, that way if someone turned the game on in the middle of the inning they would be caught up. matulis is going to have to be on his game today to quell those AU bats. that funky (irregular) left field wall cost us at least one run last night -- though it could be mainieri starting katz if LF (for the first time in his life,) i wouldn't want to play in that outfield my first time out.
Prolly the idea to play him there. Without experience at the position how would he be intimidated? Junior leadership, 101
like death and destruction. broadcasting 101, give score, inning, number of outs frequently. hawthorne doesnt and if i step away from my computer a bit it takes forever to find out if there was a change. i will however hear a five minute rant on topics such as parking at *insert name here* stadium.
