1. 6-3...if we don't miss opportunities early...who knows...
  2. Damn! :po:
  3. Good game LSU.

Next time, get those lost runners to home plate and GG......

  4. good night guys it 1 am in N.C. gotta go Later :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
  5. There are always a lot of "what ifs" when you lose but this could've been a great game had a few things gone our way.

I didn't like how we gave up the 6th run and I hated walking in a run for them as well. Considering those and the missed offensive opportunities early, this could be going to extra innings.

Well hopefully they'll play with a little fire tomorrow and not get out pitched by another opponent.
  6. Frustrating loss. With a not so deep pitching staff that bats are going to have to really come alive if we are going to get three more wins this weekend. The good news is UCI can't have much pitching left. The bad news is neither do we.

How many pitches did Alsup throw last night?
  7. Good game Tigers, but I certainly must say hats off to the UCLA pitcher. He came out and did what he had to do, and then some. We didn't.:geaux:
  8. Just got back from LA.

I'm not sure what it looked like at home but the UCLA pitcher Trevor Bauer was outstanding in person. My daughter and I sat right behind home plate and the Tigers just could not get to his curve/slider.

Hopefully Coach Manieri will have us ready to go tomorrow because UCI will bring their bats.

BTW, what an embarrassing environment for a big time program like UCLA. I'm not kidding when I say my son's high school stadium is bigger. It reminded me of a middle of the road high school stadium. I was talking to the mom of the starting shortstop for the Bruins and she said if they get 500-750 people for a game they are lucky. It's too bad because this area is loaded with baseball talent.

The purple and gold represented well. I'd say it was about 60-40 LSU fans.
  9. A little too little, a little too late. Nice showing of the never quit attitude of these Tigers. The fat lady ain't singin yet, but she sure is warming up her pipes. We can get by UCI again, but taken UCLA is gonna be a tall order.
  10. hmm, cheering for your team is not "classy" according to this bruin fan.

Just got back from game - good crowd

Packed house, but a lot of LSU fans showed up and were loud and supportive, much more so than we were. At the end of the day we won so I'm pleased. Still wish Bruins fans were louder, had better cheers, etc., but UCLA, I guess, is a more reserved, classy type crowd. Had some cool Bruins in my section, though.

3 HR from us, solid pitching and great weather; can't ask for much more.
