What does any of this prove? That we all run in different circles. In MY particular circle, everybody I know is not so much voting FOR McCain, as they are voting AGAINST Obama. And it has absolutely nothing to do w/ the color of his skin.
Conversely, when McCain loses miserably, and he most certainly will, are there going to be assassination attempts against Obama by over-zealous racist idiots who are 'scared' of him because of his less-than-traditional background? Seems to be a decent chance of it happening. Should one be successful, then, my friend, you will see riots. It's a sad state of affairs, really. Some people don't want Obama for president b/c he's black (far more than are willing to admit it, I assure you), and countless others are voting for him on that basis alone. It isn't that this race is going to set racial relations back 30 years, salty. It's that we're 30 years behind where we should be, and this event is likely to make us come to terms with that reality.
