I can't believe anyone would suggest BE transfers or swithces positions this early in his career. The kid is a total stud and he will leave a big impact on LSU. These guys no when they come in that they are going to have reduced playing time, especially at running back as their is only 1 on the field at a time as opposed to 3 or 4 wideouts. But LSU does a nice job of rotating guys in and out to make sure the ones who deserve to play get some time. When Edwards and Brousard have a whole season behind them and then get to practice in the spring they will get a lot more opportunities to prove what they can do.

sorry to say this but vincet is the best back out of any of the running backs at lsu period. edwards is not ever going to be as good as justin. justin is prolly the best back to go through lsu and when its all said and done he will prove that he is the best back to play out of anyone. if he would of started all year, records would of been broken badly. vincent has it all size speed power hands quickness he has it all

I don't think you should be sorry for saying that, I don't think anyone is saying Justin isn't the best back, just that Edwards and Broussard will get plenty of chances to prove themselves and play over the next few years. Remember, last year Saban pretty much alternated Davis and Toe and Adai got some carries too. I think he will always do that.

Oh, I never said I wanted Barrington Edwards to transfer. I think he's a great back. Everything Ive read about him makes him seem like a true competitor and a team player. I just dont want talent to sit on the bench or leave. Just throwing the question out there to see how other people feel about the situation.

Barrington most likely will not transfer, IMO. This year he was happy to be a special teams stud and will look to get more PT at running back next year. Remember, JV had bowl practices and spring practice to learn the offense and adapt to college football speed. Given a year to learn the offense and grow, BEdwards could make the same leap next year.

I just don't see where Barrington fits in at RB. I don't think that Vincent is going to lose his starting job as long as he is at LSU. He is too good, and Broussard will come in to pick up the short yardage, so where does Edwards fit in? The guy can catch out of the backfield, so I don't see why he can't make a switch to WR. He has the size, he has the speed.

Barrington told Saban that he did not want to Redshirt that he wanted on the field and if you notice he is always one of the cheerleaders on the team during games. He is always one of the first guys down field on special teams.

Winner thats what Saban has done for LSU he has brought Character to Baton Rouge

Yellowex, I think if you want to say who is the best back ever to play at LSU, just talking about talent alone it would have to be
Cecil Collins. Too bad he is an idiot. FEW EVER can run like he did.

JVENCENT 25, who was the starting running back each year for the last five years and how many games did they play? How many carries did Vincent, Broussard, and Edwards expect at the beginning of this season.
If we had gone into this season with only Addai and Carey we would have never won the SECC. We need depth. Edwards will get his chance, he just needs to stay prepared.
I remember back a few years, Faulk, Mealy. Cleveland, Toefield, J Booty, and Rohan were all injured during their careers.
In reference to changing positions who would sit the bench if a RB changed to WR. He would have to beat out some very fine receivers. Bowe, Davis, Hill, possibly Carter and Doucet are all quality athletes standing in line.

Unbelievable, I guess J.V. is your idol since due to your handle but jeezems, let's see, we had Cannon/Taylor/, Taylor/Robinson, Davis/Rogers, Toefield/Davis, James/Hilliard. Seems to be that the greatest LSU teamns of all time have had at least 2 backs that were exceptional college RB's. And that's not to mention the year we beat the Irish in the Indy Bowl, let's see Faulk had 2 games over 200 yards, Collins blew threw Auburn for over 200 and then Mealy knocked out Notre Dame in the bowl with over 200. Just maybe we might need all of our running backs, ya think.
