Not at all, I have thought about your points and they are good points. I believe that it should have been scaled back. I am not saying dont do it at all. But 10 million.

I guess its different for me, Ive always worked for private industry firms and businesses. I dont see any TARP money rolling through here.

Im not trying to be an azz at all. Until I read the article I believed what your topic title said to be true. When I finally read the article and couldnt find a single reference to "10 million for parties" it would stand to reason that questions arise, no? You said you had additional details so show me where I misread something or missed additional facts.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this thread?

    Answer...
This thread is just an example of the route this country is taking to socialism.
The mindset is there for many people. nanny state.
The private sector is slowly being swallowed up by the government.
In case anyone's curious, Bank Of America is the official bank for government employees.

Once again government gets a pass while people go after the private sector.
Lets talk about the problems in Obama's back yard.
Half the people being nominated for his cabinet could be arrested for tax evasion.
I'd like to see what would happen to anyone in this thread who tried to pull of stuff like Geitner and Daschle did.

I got an idea, lets get rid of Ceo's at all companies and put Barney Frank and Chris Dodd in charge and let them destroy them like they did with Fanny and Freddie.
Let's talk about how better off the country would be if we didn't have so much government waste also!

    A small example:

Local Denny's restaurants are offering free Grand Slams, dine in only today. Lines are out the door and wrapped around the buildings. Radio Stations are calling for tailgates.

    Freebird just got requested. :hihi:

This is why I have been against every bailout from the start.
Don't need them, the government just gets in the way and screws everything up that it does.

We should also look back at the UAW and the automakers and see what they did with their money.:rolleye33:

You know, you left out a few details and you added stuff that has nothing to do with this thread.

Bank of America sought out the govt money and they didnt turn down the 45 billion they got. So there is a sense of responsibility that comes with getting taxpayer funds and some of the spending they do will be scrutinized.
Once again your post is all political, blame Chris Dodd and Barney Frank as usual.
Blame the Obama administration, what does Geithner and Daschle have to do with this.
Do you realize the people Bush had in his administration and some he tried to nominate.
    Alberto Gonzales
Miers for Supreme Court (his personal lawyer)
    Come on:huh:
You could just say that the spending didnt bother you and leave out the divisiviness sometimes. That may help people listen to you first.

We can HOPE each individual and corporation is responsible especially during this financial crisis but when the leader of the free world spends 160 million on festivities, I guess it's difficult to preach responsibility.

    Once again...hypocrisy rules!

You are wrong, do yourself some research.
Frank and Dodd are responsible for the housing bubble that burst.
It had everything to do with the mis-management of money by B of A.

    Thank You
You've made my point for me here.
Yes, bush had problems in his administration which certain people pointed out to no end in this forum.
Its totally the opposite during the Obama nominations.
The whiners are totally quiet this time around.

My point which you obviously didn't get it is this.
    Bottom-line,
People like you blame the private sector and CEO's and totally ignore the problems and corruption within the government.
If you are going to constantly go after private enterprise, Ceo's and big oil you should at least talk about problems within our government also or acknowledge that they exist.
It makes you look political also.

If you are going to go after Bank Of America, just maybe you should go after the banks from the housing market, Denny's for free breakfast and the UAW as well as the automakers to see what they did with the free money!
    End of Point

They mis-managed finances and possibly broke the law, tax evasion.
Yet, they are now going to be responsible with the people's money and law enforcement of taxes?

Yet you go after the private sector and ignore this?
