This is where you are wrong. If Kentucky starts losing year in and out those so called die hards will stop coming. It is just the way of the world Jeffinbama you better get used to it.

I am an LSU fan in all sports . Not just basketball .

not necessarily. I remember Dmitch having a bad game vs. Tenn and we won that game by double figures. this team, with its huge rebounding edge and interior defense, has the ability to win 50-60 pt games if need be. that's why we are better prepared to beat a team like Wisc in the tourney this year.

Ok, I really thought you had a bit more sense than to actually compare our b-ball program to UK's, but I guess not. I bet it's a lot easier to get a ticket to a UK football game than to an LSU game. Grant it, our b-ball team has had a bit more success than their FB team in recent years, but it still speaks towards the tradition of the program. Their b-ball team is nationally prominent year-in and year-out. Ours is not. Our football team is nationally prominent year-in and year-out. Theirs is not.
There, you do get it. It's not just LSU basketball, but a nationwide phenomenon that winning teams get more support than do average (and below) teams. Were you piping on and on during the dark days of Hallman about TS attendance???

Ummm, I'm not. I've never liked John Brady (see sig). Yet I support the Tigers and have been a season ticket holder for many years. In fact, I rarely miss a home game. I traveled to Atlanta last year to the SEC Tourney - was there on the 2nd row, supporting the Tigers. I agree w/you in part, some fans this year are bandwagon fans. BUT, that's exactly what this team needs. They need bandwagon fans to support the team and show up for games. During the last 2 home games, you could see the excitement in the team that the crowd was big - they acknowleged the crowd and gave them a good show!

That's a good point. What would Jeff rather, continued low attendance during better seasons? Just because it was only non-bandwagon fans? That's why I think it's a silly complaint.

I might be in the minority, but I think Gottfried is a really good coach. I thought that for years. His journey into the Elite 8 cemented that. I like the way he managed the game against LSU. He just did not have the horses to compete.
