How do I figure? You just said Bama was ahead of them in 2 polls.

Also, if the BCS has them only 2 spots ahead of the team that literally took us down to the last second...........Feelin me now?

Also, in regards to Bama's schedule you refer to teams they've played who ARE ranked;yet, in referring to LSU's you mention where our opponents WERE ranked.

Oh, I get it now, so let me ask........how many teams below us are better?

Also, you just shot his argument out of the water cause rankings apparently mean nothing in looking at who was ranked where, when we/Bama played any given one......which is exactly what I was getting at. The only ranking that matters to me is the final AP poll since the BCS doesn't have a "Final" ranking.

I think we win too but just don't see it as a cakewalk, as I've stated as my reason for posting in reference to this to begin with.

    Ok let me rephrase.

The BCS has Auburn @ #22 after their loss this past weekend... and Bama @ #24 after their win. And when it comes to comparing Bama's schedule vs. LSU's... Where's all of Bama's oppenets at NOW in the rankins vs. where all of LSU's are CURRENTLY.

There's a big difference between the non SEC West schedule we have played versus the same of Bama. Sorry if I didn't make much sense before... and I understand you trying to be objective... I just do not see Bama doing very well against past the 1st or mid 2nd Qtr. in 2 weeks. Sorry, but I just don't see it.

There are exceptions. What I was getting at was that people shouldnt rely on rankings. Something that is very apparrent this year.

I noted in a previous post that Nick was trying to be realist about this in his public comments. I would expect no less for any head coach. But I am sure that practice or not, play or not, these players got an ear full from him and will be in his dog house for a while. We saw that at LSU and I am sure that has not changed.

As far as whether or not these particular players are in the LSU game probably won't make any difference in the performance of the Bama team - they did not seem to miss a beat against the Vols. The only real problem it might cause is lack of depth at their positions. I don't think the Vols are as deep as LSU, and the replacements inexperience and not being able to rotate other players in to give them a rest may be real issue in the 4th quarter.

Let us look in the ever-glorious search function... (screen fades away into a magic crystal ball - mist surrounds)

I guess Tennessee didn't even show up because if they played well then they would have "(ROLLED) over the Tide." It seems like you are just unable to say Alabama has a good team even if they prove you wrong (UT game).

Again... you said UA is "not a good team." This is interesting because this is the same logic a LSU friend made when he bet me that Alabama wouldn't even be bowl-eligible because they are little more than a "high-school team." Well, I am richer and happier because of his nonsensical approach. Since they beat UT, they must lose to every other team you mentioned to fulfill your prediction... (I can see neck and neck games with LSU and Auburn) but UA will beat MSU. I hope LSU's players are approaching the game the same as you are.

Let me finish in saying this:
UA will likely keep it close, and they will not be blown off the field like you are suggesting.

But they sure as hell are going to a bowl.:):thumb:
