does this mean we're going to have to split a national championship with bama?? :rolleye33: i agree with cajun, eff bama and their fans.
In a couple years when Saban bolts their delusional program for a team out West, we'll still have the SEC Championship flag flying. 10 years from now no one will remember who recruited these players....but they'll remember who coached the game and it wasn't Saban. 3 SEC titles in the last 7 years. Add us a NC trophy to that and man.....that's getting close to being a juggernaut.
bama nation has become the SouthCarolina of the west. Those guys say whatever they can to make them feel better about their team.:miles:
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think I remember RP was NOT coming to LSU if Saban was the coach. Miles was instrumental in recuiting him... BTW, did you see that pass he threw to Byrd in the CG? That was big time NFL arm....
uhh actually tb3, he's not. saban didn't want perrilloux. it was a last second push by miles that got rp to decommit from ut. saban thought rp was going to be too much trouble which is probably true but i don't think we win that game with hatch under center so...
no, rp committed to saban that summer quietly and it had been widely speculated on the internet since then and confirmed by other sites. rp almost went to texas after saban left. saban even talked about it in his monday morning press conference on oct 29th.
Perrilloux was an open committment to Texas until after Saban left. It was Les that convinced him to break his commit and come to LSU. Perrilloux was not going to sign with Nick. That was the story at the time and I've seen nothing to change it.
It must have been a SUPER-SECRET committment to Saban because what red posted is what I've always heard too. Watching RP at the postgame PC made me think he might be maturing a bit. I also thought he might be more trouble than he was worth with the attitude problems he had coming out of high school.....PROVE ME WRONG RYAN! :geauxtige
