Except he couldn't throw very well at all. He had terrible mechanics and shot-putted the ball. He was willing to put the work in practice and in the film room, whereas JR wasn't back then. Coaches like Saban don't look too kindly on that.
Yeah until you are down 13 in the Capital One Bowl and the other 2 couldnt get it done. Then all of a sudden you are going to let JR take over. I was there JR looked unbelievable.
True Saban is a good coach and anyone who thinks he isn't is deluded. I guess my question (if Miles is still here 5 years from now ) will be with equal talent who wins? If I were pressed to answer now I would say with equal talent Saban wins. I for one hate the fact that he is coaching not only in the SEC but the SEC West. Miles has changed my opinion of him greatly after watching him be the biggest choke artist. The 2003 UT 35 point lead or whatever it was at halftime debacle was painful and the 21 point lead halftime debacle last year vs the other UT was equally painful. That Monday night I feared for my beloved Tigers future. He has impressed me tons since then especially the way we ended the season last year. Still scratching my head as to how we let 2006 slip through our fingers with the talent this team had....I am not sure who to blame coaches, players, or officials in those 2 losses this year. Heck maybe it was all 3. I look forward to next season and stomping Saban's ass and giving him a good ole fashioned welcoming back to the SEC! :geauxtige
