get a car? yeah. that's simple. score a $140,000+ dollar car? you gotta show some serious income to get approved for that. and as per NCAA rules, the potential to earn millions in the future does not count as current income when still an eligible athlete. i would stick to the "it's not his car, he just took a pic next to it" defense. that's at least somewhat more believable than "anyone can legally buy a quarter million dollars worth of cars when they have no income".
