No doubt, definitely not closing on him. Dude came in last season and made an immediate impact while he was on the field getting after the QB. Correct me if I am wrong, but I remember hearing at one point we didn't really want him, we just recruited him to keep his brother Maea from signing with Texas and coming to LSU.
I'm not sure what the story is but when I see him I honestly think of that phrase I hate, "a motor that doesn't stop". He reminds me of a taller, thinner, faster Rahim Alem, just a pure pass rusher. Maybe that's why he won't start, they want a stump to stop the run and he will play on 3rd downs and in obvious passing situations.
Yep, and we signed Leonard just so we could get Lanard Fournette. I remember when Todd McClure signed, people said that Trey was the only reason Todd was signed. I told them I'd take a Todd in every signing class every year. Too much talent, someone that could play a number of positions.
I may have told this story before but we played Central BR in the playoffs one year and Todd McClure hit the longest home run I've ever seen, that bitch sailed over my head, over the fence, over the street behind the fence, into the neighborhood behind the street. It was something you don't even react to when it's hit, because you instantly know it's leaving earth.
