the dems gave that away as a concession to the GOP and they still wouldnt bite.

i dont understand why forgiving delinquent homeowners is so much worse than forgiving delinquent investment homeowners or delinquent business owners. if anything, the rules should be more lenient for homeowners BECAUSE ITS THEIR HOME.

I'm afraid if you don't pay-off the home that you couldn't afford anyway then it's not your home. Hell if it's not paid-off anyway you still don't own it outright.

Seems like politics have stayed out of it. The vote isn't evenly split but certainly much closer than anything I've seen in the past.

Pelosi gave a speech right before the vote implying that this was all on Bush and that the Dems are going to save the day. The Repubs then said F That and suddenly the GOP votes they thought they had went the other way. Make no mistake. Pelosi and her bad of merry men (and women) want this to be the election winning issue and the Republicans are having none of it. Both sides had better put that crap aside and get this done.

Yeah, after posting I read about that. Pretty crappy of her to make that speech and also for the republicans to do what they did.

    My thoughts on the bailout...
    Crash and burn..................

Everyone in government should be voted out this year.
Lets start over because what we have today are a bunch of inmates running the assylum.
I've thrown in the towel from here out in this forum and with our government.
Our government is too big and too corrupt no matter who is mining the store.

Don't forget the next bailout is the auto industry followed by the airline industry.
    Will we ever learn?

Repubs couldn't handle the truth, Dems couldn't take a humble approach, ended bad for both parties.

Democrats are just as, if not more responsible for what's happened. I just wanted that out there.
