This is the only thing I had a problem with, from a coaching standpoint. I would have stayed with Randell until he screwed up or lead us to comfortable lead. However, I feel there is some pressure on Saban to play Russell. I just didn't make sense bringing in Russell that early, and felt that was a serious mistake that threw off our timing. Other than that it was a close game where we came up short.
This is a big surprise this year...JV has looked like an average back. Broussard is underplayed, although I heard injuries (concussion?) may have something to do with that. Broussard looked like a stud the whole 8 times he ran today. Another valid point is throwing the damn ball to Addai...run his ass more and throw to him less. Two major factors are contributing to JR not looking like the stud he is. 1) Our WR, including Addai are dropping bullets in their hands. This has been a problem from week 1. 2)The other problem is the O-line that was supposed to be all american. They are not protecting for our QB, either one of them. They are continuously under pressure and forced to throw without getting set.
Russel was a screw up all day. look at the stats. Randall wasn't much better if any. he did show some flair on the first drive. you need to quit dating Jamracus and watch the play of the WHOLE OFFENSE. My god some of these people around here act GAY they way they giggle and tee hee everytime JR touches the ball and he hasn't shown me sh!t. I wish Mauck was back. And no I'm not a big Randall fan, I just wish one of them would step forward and PLAY BALL. to hell with leading, JUST PLAY CONSISTANT. and please dont come up with your horse sh!t about JR hasnt been given a chance. Ludicrous. :dis: Nick needs to hang a sign in the Student Union that says, Now Hiring QB's maybe one of them will see it and bring their A game to the team.
jv doesn't look that great this year because they keep running his ass inside and the line isn't blocking well. Also on pass plays some the TE's are getting in the damn way alot. I also agree about the play calling. Randall played much better today i don't care what anybody says. JR has a lot of growing uo to do. Saban also needs to learn to ride the hot hand. But overall we are ok and we will finish this season no worst then 9-2. Everybody needs to calm down and quit acting like the sky is falling.
maybe if the Aflac duck was the referee............ You base your absolute unfallible, better than Saban's Knowledge on a maybe? I'll go so far as to say you maybe right, who knows? it didn't happen, so to form an opinion on what WOULD have happened is crazy. I say you DONT pull a QB that has just produced. This is the norm in the NFL, NCAA, HIGH SHCOOL, Pee wee, flag football, whatever..... Now maybe Randall would have screwed up on the next drive. I dont know, maybe Nick has a cyrstal ball and he knew. if he does and hr did know then he is even better than I thought. AND I THINK HE IS DAHM GOOD. I think Jamarcus has had plenty of oppurtunity to step up and prove himself. so has Randall. neither have done anything to show they can play consistant LSU QB. I trust Nick will light a fire under their aZZs and get someone in gear. soon. this 2 QB offense is dandy but it has a shelf life. I can use the same logic as you and say ...... If Saban had left MR in the game after the first drive he would have retained his momentum and we would have won. Now some truly belive that, some choose to think that's silly. Which is true? No one knows. the facts are this. marcus played a good first series. our play calling wasn't all that Russel couldnt hit the side of a barn today. Randall was like a sparrow in a hurricane after the first series. Alley ran good. JV looked flat, or they were keying on him big time. Auburn had a better run defense than we've faced all year. auburn's pass defense isn't anything special, we just don't have a passing game and they knew it. hell Ray Charles can see that. What makes it so sad is we're loaded at WR. :dis:
We took a one-point loss on the road to a ranked team. It ain't the end of the friggin' world. I sat through six straight losing seasons under Archer/Hallman and I think I know a good coach when I see one. Nick is the best coach in the game, amigo. Nobody ever said he was infallible. Take a couple of aspirin and go to bed. You'll feel better tomorrow.
hey A cute Brunette has cured more ailments than Aspirin EVER did!   Saline Rules!
How quickly some people can forget those miserable years in the nineties. It is so great to be a LSU fan these days.
