I got a piece of it. Throw another across the plate this time. I actually think McCain would do about the same as Obama as President, I just don't want him sending in any more right-handed supreme court justices. And I don't like the company he keeps.
What photoshop? That was him and Osama at their high school* reunion. *Allah Akbar Senior High School in Honolulu.
Holy Crap I laughed out loud and scared the girl in the next office on that one. Red, I'll bite on that comment. While I'll admit that I will need to hold my nose to vote for McCain, are you arguing that Obama keeps better company. I'll admit that is concerns me that the man who wants to be the leader of the free world seems to surround himself by people who hate this country. When you put together his wife's comments, his pastor's, his relationship with a confessed terrorist, the silly flag pin thing, the silly pledge of allegiance incident, he just comes off as a person that seems to think that the problem with America is Americans. I was no fan of Hillary, but I never suspected that she had a resentment for this country. With Obama, by BS detector is constantly pegged.
Give me a break. Painting Obama as un-American is simply mud-slinging politics. He's going to carry half the country, do you think half the country is un-American? One of the many self-delusions of many conservatives in this country is that they imagine that they have sole ownership of patriotism. Wake up and smell the coffee, amigo. A lot of us think that Republican arrogance, hubris, and greed have cheapened and weakened this nation and we citizens have to do something about it. Thats the America way.
Red, I was not mud-slinging, simply pointing out facts about Obama's associations. He does not have a long enough record to examine, so you must go to plan B. How many times have you heard that you are judged by the company you keep? I agree with your point that Repubs probably over-play the patriotism card and readily concede that there are many fine, patriotic dems that I think very highly of. Obama is not one of them, in my opinion. I also concede that he will carry half the country. I will argue, however, that Obama is making his sales pitch to an uninformed, uneducated base, which probably equals about half this country. Of course there are many exeptions here, but by in far, when you promise free stuff to uneducated people in exchange for their votes, they are not going to examine the rest of your resume. The other group that Obama is pitching to is the educated elite, many of whom do have very unflattering opinions about this country. Again, I readily concede that there are going to be exceptions to my argument. I'm not accusing any Obama supporters on here of being either communisits nor idiots. The fact that you can read and log into this website makes you the exception to my argument. If you paid for it as a contributor than that makes you someone who believes in paying your own way
