Wow, you have a pretty inflated sense of yourself, don't you? When somebody responds in kind to something you post, is it ALWAYS because they're touchy? My response to your "scare tactics" BS was simply that...a response. A riposte, a return shot in kind if you will. The tone of your post responding to that one was touchy and defensive, almost as if you were responding in anger because you were shown up. You were VERY vocal with your "I never called Bush Hitler", almost as if I were the one who had touched a nerve of some kind. Don't try to turn this one around on me, pal. Like I said, I'm not one to take my eye off of the ball. Nice try, though.
You know something? The whole tone of this discussion has turned pretty nasty. I'm going to walk away from this one. If you feel the need to hurl insults and snide remarks in my wake feel free, because I'm done here.
You are still being a hypocrite, this was your rebutal to my post, that I got touchy, no Im the one who orginated that tactic, bs. Call it what you want to call it. You responded with that. Also, you directed your Bush,Hitler post at me, because you quoted my post about "GOP scare tactics", heres a newsflash, you took it personal when I posted "GOP SCARE TACTICS", there I said it again. You should start itching, righttt about now. Dont you try to turn it around when you orignated the touchy subject, nice try though. Like your boy Hitler, your philsophy is a bit cynical.:hihi:
Even more hypocritical, you have already started that way back in this thread. Check earlier, when you presented the fact of me getting touchy and personal in this thread. Also calling me gullable and ignorant. Then you go and change your last post, to where you call me an amatuer, just to say I am insulting you. :hihi:
When did I ever claim to be impartial? I pick a side in a debate and hammer relentlessly at the other argument. If you get tired, I'll argue your side for a while.
Actually, I edited that part out BECAUSE of what I posted. It was a snide, nasty thing to say and I regretted it. Sometimes, I do catch myself. Have a nice day.
But you suggest that I was the one being snide and nasty. you have a nice day as well and I mean that sincerely. No hard feelings on this end.:thumb:
The Republicans have already been benched as they are no longer in control of Congress. This along with the likely hood of them losing more seats this fall should be more than enough to get them back to their conservative roots. I think it's important to emphasize that they have not been governing as conservatives! I would think a proclaimed moderate would be more inclined to want split branches of government under current economic conditions and deficits . It seems logical to me that a Democratically controlled congress a long with a Republican president would likely result in more moderate policies than if both branches were controlled by Democrats. With a Democratically controlled congress and a Republican president you can be assured what that outcome will be. However, with Obama as president no one knows for sure how he will govern and how he will react to Nancy Pelosi's policies. I believe he will govern more to the left than center. I know you disagree with that but how certain are you that he will govern as a moderate? You say he's intelligent. Intelligence alone will not deter a politician from his core values. In fact, I would argue it could make a politician more confident in his beliefs and more apt to stick with them. What proof do you have that Obama will govern as a moderate? Or do you think this country needs to move to the left?
Here we are again. What exactly does ill prepared mean and how is it that McCain is not ill prepared himself? I think neither have the experience to be a President.
I'll bite on this one: McCain is not ill prepared himself because he served 23 years as a Naval Officer, fought in a war, and commanded a unit. Obama served 0. McCain has served 26 years in Congress. Obama has served 4. I think McCain wins the experience argument. It's enough for me, at least, because it leads me to believe that because of his extensive background in both the military, as well as congressional affairs, he will make better decisions and point our country in a better direction. I truly believe that.
