Well your link doesn't cite Obama at all. We don't know what Obama endorses. This "black value system" you cite, what part of it is anti-American? Be specific because I don't see it. I'm looking . . . no, I see things like commitment to God, Community, and Family. The pursuit of education, excellence, and adherence to a work ethic, Commitment to self-discipline and self respect, etc. etc. Perhaps you simply dislike the language where there is a lot of black pride and disapproval of an economic class system with them at the bottom. But that is not anti-American, just anti-racism of a perceived injustice. It sounds like you're offended that Obama knows a lot of black people. Why is that? Even if it were, what makes it un-American? There is racism is every direction in every country? This doesn't make your point about anything un-American that Obama himself has said or done. Do you think America is what it once was? I don't. America should and can do much better and a leader that recognizes this is what we're looking for and badly need right now. A candidate who maintains that everything is just fine won't get elected in this country in 2008.
