Ouch, never saw that one before. I actually have this book at home. I'm going to read the context before I jump in with claws out LSUMASTERMIND, I went over to your Train Wreck thread, but the videos wouldn't load. You are correct, I don't devote equal time to the 2 candidates. I am not running for office, nor does this forum require "equal time" for opposing views when you express your own. (wow, imagine how crazy the Tiger Den would get if we had to give the Auburn fans more time). I don't like McCain. but I don't like Obama more. I admit this is a childish position. I was disappointed that neither party put their best candidate forward...again. Your points about McCain's associations are interesting and well made.
Forget what a guy stands up in a pulpit and says, what about a guy who has actively lobby for dictators and anti-american governments, then is running the campaign of a presidential candidate. Whats your stance on how UnAmerican that is.
Excellent point. Its just about as shi**y. However as far as I know they have never planted bombs in this country as the weathermen did. I'll say this again, I have "electile dysfunction" as in, I can't get excited about either of these two buffoons. I will however pick the one that has given the better part of his life to defend this country over one that has spent the better part of his trying to distance himself from it.
Its no where near as funny as when you ask someone why they are voting for obama and the response is "because he is black". I don't have issue with a black president, IF he is the right man for the job. b/o in my opinon is not. You can't tell me that you haven't run into this. There is no clause that says we have to have a "good" reason as to why we are voting the way we are, but there should be.
Actually I havent run into that alot, because I dont talk alot of politics outside of my circle of friends. And they are intelligent enough to explain why they are voting for him. I agree its people voting for him just because he is black. But there are alot of them who are not voting for him for the same reason, which is just as funny to me. (See me Laughing):hihi: But I wasnt making that point here, I was just debating facts with you and others.
Perhaps a bit of ignorance as I have not read the book. I still don't trust him nor will I ever. I don't like him, nor will I ever, I won't vote for him, not now not ever. I don't not like green eggs and ham.
Its all good brother, my feathers don't ruffle with the shenanigans of FSA. Thats why its called FSA. I think we have our lines drawn in the sand and to each his own. You are right, there probably are, hell I"d bet good money that there are people voting against him just because he is black. I was a big JC Watts guy until I heard him on the radio the other day and it seems he is in on the, "a brother is running so I gotta support him" train. Thats weak to me and the republicans will suffer for losing such a long standing, honorable guy, especially with the black community. Colin Powell seems to have jumped ship as well. You won't ever find me here making a strong case for your mans opponent because I think he is just as much of a snake. He abandonned his conservative views to suck up to the slimy left and make a few friends that he otherwise would not have. Find your ground and stand on it, know what I mean?
Exactly, and I have found it and I just try to debate facts these days. Watts has jumped on that ship, but it could be the same reasons you dont like Johnny Mc, because Watts was a strong conservative, maybe he doesnt like McCains shifts either. Its hard to tell with people like that. Powell is a different situation, I think he is trying to save face for his time in the Bush Administration. But when did McCain have conservative views, it appears to me, thats more of a recent 2008 McCain. Because the 2000 and 2004 McCain was an independant.
