He is referring to Bill Ayers as one example. Here is the money:

Obama has staunchly defended his relationship with this man, who is in unrepenting confessed domestic terrorist.

Obama's campaign describes their relationship as "friendly". When he was asked directly about his association with this man at a debate, he defended him by saying how well respected he was in Chicago social circles.

Yes, being friendly with terrorists makes you un-American in my opinion.

Again, I am not going to staunchly advocate voting for McCain, as I agree with many of Red's concerns about him. I will strongly advocate not voting for Obama.

I didn't see Obama mentioned or quoted anywhere in your link.

Bill Ayers now holds the position of Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois-Chicago and has never been convicted of any crime. He is a constituent in Obama's Illinois District.

Both Obama and Ayers were members of the board of an anti-poverty group, the Woods Fund of Chicago, between 1999 and 2002. Ayers also contributed $200 to Obama's re-election fund to the Illinois State Senate in April 2001. They lived within a few blocks of each other in the trendy Hyde Park section of Chicago, and moved in the same circles. Why should Obama have to defend this tenuous relationship?

Guilt by association is a non-starter. Has Obama advocated any 1970's Weatherman radicalism? No. Has Obama advocated any Anti-American issues? No.

Do you think I can find some former McCain supporters who actually have been convicted of crimes? Yep. Does that make McCain a criminal? Nope.

I don't think Republicans are the only people that work and have money, I was referring to the exceptions with my Obama supporter argument. Full disclosure, I tend to be much more Libertarian than Republican.

Didn't do that multiple quote thing right, so please go and read the highighted portion above. Hey, maybe since I can't figure out Tigerforums, I'm one of the idiots I keep referring to  (you can't swing at that one, it's a softball)

Red, I never said there was a smoking gun. For some of us, this is just one of a string of Obama's associations that does not pass the smell test. You can dig up all the stuff on McCain that you want, I am not a member of his fan club either. The best point you have made in this thread, in my opinion, is that neither of these clowns reflect the best of what our country has to offer (ok, I very liberally quoted you there).

I'll have more to add to this tomorrow. I am reading Obama Nation now, and I'm starting the chapter where it is discussing Obama's relationships with the Kenyan Government. Don't know enough now to intelligently comment.

So may I ask why arent you bashing him like you seem to do with Obama? Is it just the popular thing to do around here so you just decided to fall in line?

I read the article Amigo, and all I can say is "Wheres the Beef?"

    The article says . . .

Where are the un-American activities? What has Obama done that is illegal immoral, or Un-American? He once did lawyer work for a guy that later got involved in financial shenanigans.

Again, extremely tenuous connection with someone. And no Anti-American activites whatsoever.

My friend, your criteria for labelling someone as un-American didn't pass the smell test either.

You still won't after simply reading an Obama attack book by the Christian right. Why not balance that with actually reading what Obama has written or at least check out the policies he advocates?
