i agree that you are portraying that as a buddhist teaching, but with you, who knows. that could be the opposite of what buddhists really mean.
"The central message of Buddhism is NOT 'every man for himself' Otto!!!" - Jaime Lee Curtis, "A Fish Called Wanda"
What I think he is saying is that it can be better to terminate the life prior to it having any distinctively recognizable form than to allowing it to be brought into a world in which it is not wanted. I'm sure you'll agree that upbringing is crucial in a person's development. Those whom were unwanted or are neglected often end up causing or getting into a lot of trouble later on in their lives. I feel unrelentingly terrible for childrens whose parents don't want them. Yes, I have feelings for the embryo, too. But the embryo isn't aware of what's going on around it, and won't sustain lifelong pain and troubles. Personally, I could never abort an embyo or fetus. But I don't think that the government should have the power to tell me that I couldn't.
because A) i have low comprehension skills B) i'm sadistic C) i made a mistake, and started crawfishing
Hey....nothing wrong with abortion......except there should be a longer time limit. Say 21 years old. If the parents don't think the child turned out right or embarrassed them or was not athletic -------kill him. I mean---dead is dead. At least by setting 21 as the normal term limit, you gave the child a chance. And that would REALLY be a good reason for a party..... :hihi:
