Coached at only 2 colleges. Alabama & Clemson. Was the main WR & TE coach integral in the passing game at Clemson from 2002-2006, when he became an assistant head coach in 2007 & Offensive Coordinator in 2008. Was hired as Head Coach at Clemson in 2009. He actually earned his job. Dabo is one of the better Offensive minds in CFB today. He's 48 years old.
I can always count on you to be wrong. Dabo had never been a coordinator before becoming interim head coach. He was the horrible notion you often denigrate -- the position coach with no coordinating experience who became a head coach. Like Orgeron did for himself at Ole Miss being head coach and DC, Dabo named himself OC as interim head coach. Also like O he has named high quality coordinators to carry the schematics while he's the 'head cheerleader' aka face of the program that relates to the every man natives and recruiting guru. Right or wrong, LSU has followed the Clemson template. No one has successfully recreated the Saban template. We'll see if this withers or blooms in time. Dig deeper than perusing Wikipedia next time.
