The article I read said they did everything to keep him, including offering a salary that's more than what the Vols are paying him... He wanted to go back home and help them rebuild...

Perhaps @bhelmLSU would be willing to give us a "status of the program" update? Everyone getting along? Did we run AT out, or is he altruistically going to UT? Canada staying or going?

The feeling I got about AT is that he just wanted to go home. And it really seems like Canada will be back and they’ll work together. But I have no inside knowledge.

For someone who lives in TN, I see the attraction to live here. Scenery is hard to beat and it’s a very nice place to live and raise a family. Of course I retired here. The cost of living (not that it’s an issue with high paid professionals) is very low, taxes & insurance is cheap, and the weather is great. I do miss the food, that’s the one thing that is not very good here. I cook myself but I do miss good restaurants when we go out.

Alleva ain't going anywhere. Oeaux is a lot more on top of things than Fudd ever was. Wade has the hoops team moving in the right direction and the baseball program continues to function at a championship level with Mainieri at the helm. And it's doubtful that anybody else would hire Alleva away from us.

Alleva kept stringing him and the pay bump along unnecessarily.
