Go figure, LSU was up on auburn 21-0, then played a bunch of players. Hill ran for 184 yds. 3 TDs with 7.4 ypc. An Mett threw for 229 yds.
DC'S like Chavis are going to have a long arduous offseason trying to figure out how to defense these spread options. The coaches like Gus keep adding new wrinkles each year and now they are running them with great athletes all over the place. Right now the OC's have the edge. I think the wishbone was on top about a decade, will be interesting to watch the next few years. Funny how we are lamenting a return to the early years of football.
Faster linebackers is one of the keys. If you noticed, Auburn couldn't run it up the middle against Mizzou until they got the edges going. Against us they rarely gashed us along the edges.
Wow what a difference 1 game can make! @Mark_Schlabach: #Missouri was No. 2 in #SEC run defense (119.1 ypg) before tonight; they'll finish the season No. 9 (151.8 ypg) after Auburn gashed for 545
Lol, and next summer all of the preseason cfb publications will talk about how Mizzou needs to fix their run defense. You know they will just look at the cumulative stats w/o researching.
go back to the 2010 game, in which Cam Newton and that Auburn offense was on fire That score was 17 all midway through the 4th quarter
Look carefully at the soapbox. There's a little guy in a crimson shirt, looking out from a hand-routed glory hole. I wonder who that could be?
