AuNuma1 – I don’t recall ever posting on your site and I never made such a prediction. In fact, I posted that I was concerned how we would respond to all the hype about beating UF. But when many were posting close games with SC, I said we will win big (3 or more TD’s) and we did. I believe we win this one big as well. I do not believe AU is anything near a given win. LSU does not have to stop AU’s rushing attack; all we need to do is contain it. If LSU can force Campbell to pass it, because we contain the run, I believe LSU will win and I believe will win big. If he passes because auburn is effective running, I would have to say advantage auburn. LSU just needs to be effective enough running the ball, making some FD’s; opening the play action, and that advantage will be LSU. You fans talk about whom we’ve played and beat and lost to. I don’t think you have too much to compare either. I will say; I don’t believe LSU would have done much better against USC at that point in the schedule. However, I believe LSU would have beaten GA Tech like a drum and with a fair weather running game. Tennessee was over rated to start with. Arkansas & USC are good teams, and UGA is better than either of them. You and all of the college FB world know that LSU did not play anywhere near there potential. UF won and that is what we get for lack of effort and taking it for granted. Fact is we will not play this game, the teams will and I mean no disrespect, but the teams are even and I believe three things determine this game. Coaching, field position, and Fans. UGA game atmosphere – Advantage LSU, Coaching – Advantage LSU, Field position – determined by TO’s & kicking game. Kicking game – even.
I really do think LSU will win this game, Its a home night game and we are 10-5-1 at home against them. If I read my stats right, Auburn has won last 5 out of 7 which is another reason why we will win this game. I also think this is the best defense we've had here in a long time. Sorry Auburn, The only area where you may be better than us is at TB. I'd take Mauck over Campbell anyday. I think his overall record 10-2 as starter is another reason we will win.
