I see how this is going..... "Hey guys, I am a girl and cute so please go easy on me, you'd like me in person!!! *wink* *wink* Now that I have said that, let me go on to be critical of your fans!"

Oh really now? I hear we eat a lot of corndogs too... Oh, wait, we ARE corndogs. For me, hatred of Auburn now goes well beyond the head coach as many Auburn fans have made a point out of disrespecting the LSU fanbase as well.

................ and LSU fans are the ones that have a supposed rep for being nasty.......

Oh really now? When your team does not win the NC and some other team that you played and got beat by does...... Well.... nevermind......

    Good for you.

Just out of curiosity, what do Aubarn fans call Georgia fans? Also, what has tubby done to incite rage in Georgia fans? Hmmmm..... Just curious.

It's ok to have your own opinion...it doesn't make you "right" or "wrong" just like it doesn't make me "right" or "wrong", but I'd much rather a team from the SEC win a NC rather than USC or OU or anybody else. Somebody's got to win it, and if LSU's not in the running, damned right I'd like to see a SEC team win it. It only helps exposure and national perception if someone you play on a regular basis wins championships and has consistantly winning records. Conversely, I will say that given an Auburn in a NC game vs USC, it would be very hard to route for Tubby's boys, but I also remember how much dissing USuCk fans gave us last year, and seeing how weak their conference is, it would be like the presidential race....choosing the lesser of two evils.

Ditch tubby and we can go back to having our friendly SEC west rivalry. I hear Spurrier is available for hire.

Your team is ususally loaded with talent and enjoyable to watch and never a rent a win. I love the SEC. But that's just me.

Actually, I do not need anyone to go "easy" on me because I am a girl. I can argue with the best of them. That said, I respect your team, and fear them. If you choose to think I am lecturing you that is also fine. I can take the heat. I was simply saying that not all Auburn fans thought the incidents in question were cool. If you do not want to accept that, so be it. Also, please do not lump me in with other fans. I have never called anyone a "corndog". I enjoy the games and the rivalry.

I will always pull for SEC teams in OOC games and bowl games. That was my point in my above post.

The lovefest between AU and USC is sickening and continued all of last year and into this year. That was/is truely nauseating. Fawning over an opponent who beat you :dis: rather than support your own conference. Went way beyond a "good game", shake hands and move on. If you doubt me, vist the USC board someday. AU fans are STILL fawning over there.

Really, there's not a lot to like about Auburn from a LSU fan's perspective when you think about it. A string of classless acts in our house by AU players and a fan base that fawns over USC to this day. Fans publicly giving validation to USC instead of a fellow SEC team for the MNC. Fans that beat a stupid "corndog" reference to death. That chit lasted far beyond it's 15 seconds of internet life it should have lasted.

Despite it all, I still pull for SEC teams in their bowl games, etc. even AU....guess I'm a glutton for punishment....but I sure don't support AU like I used to...... :po: but anyway, good luck to your team and I wil support you if you make it to the MNC game.

Like what everyone else said, it's not AU that I have a problem with. It's your coach. He lacks class, which unfortunatley, looks bad upon AU.

However, I will be pulling for AU if they make it to the NC game. I'd much rather see an SEC team win then a Big 12 or Pac 10.

    EXACTLY! :thumb:

as a matter of fact. I'd prefer NO One from the SEC win a NC if LSU can't for this reason below. Click the Link. We are in #2 spot behind Bama and the VOLS are a VERY Close third. if it weren't for our RECENT NC, we'd be in third, in the SEC. if UGA or Tenn, won a NC they'd be in 2nd.

for some reason it is "common" practice on ANY college sports forum to "lump" all rival team posters in with the worst. I guess it's just that a good many people on this board have seen ALOT of auburn fans posting here and on other forums with a total lack of class. Add that to the other incidents mentioned above and you get a total disdain for Auburn.

I am not exactly like this, although I DO understand it.

I know that there are some BAD eggs in all schools.
Ole MISS fans can be the nicest people I've been around and yet some of them seem to crawl out of a sewer somewhere.

I tend to "hate" Ole MISS, but not in a people way, it's not really a "hate" it's an OLD Rivialry, dating WAY back. I live 20 miles from Ole MISS and most of the people I know are Rebel fans, some good friends, some are a$$ holes. they ALL know I hate Ole MISS for the RIVALRY not the school and not the people.

if you have to hate something, hate the ACT or the People performing the act. I am sure the whole school of Auburn and it's Alumni do not condone the actions of a few or even the many if it happens to be a larger percentage. . As far as tubby is concerned, well look where he came from? :eek:lefire:
some times you have to consider the source. it's not "wrong" for a good many LSU fans to "hate" on tubby if they don't like the way he acts. This happens in CF, alot of other school's fan base don't like Saban. My Dad always hated John Madden while he was coach for his sideline antics, while I thought the guy was comical and loved him. Different strokes. I am definately NOT a Tubby fan, but it goes further back than his Auburn days.

If things were to get "officially" AWFUL and auburn started kidnapping LSU Kids and blowing up Bama's daycares ........... I am sure the SEC officials would have a word or two with the school.

I think the message that is trying to be sent from alot of Tiger forum posters is that Auburn fans CAN act better.

    have a great day.

in my opinion it doesn't have anything to do with another sec team going to the nc game. its about respecting a team that deserves respect. if you're a true football fan you have to respect what au has done and most of all if the go undefeated. if usc and ou go undefeated you know they will be playing the nc game and au would have beaten lsu, florida, georgia and probablly tenn. to go undefeated. i'm not saying that they are gonna do it but if they do you have to respect them for doing it. the cal-usc and texas-ou game yesterday didn't show me that ou and usc should either be #1. texas along with cal has some stupid turnovers that hurt them even though they played really well.

There is no doubt about this. Any SEC team who is fortunate enough to make it to the NC game truly deserves to be there a LOT more than any team from most other conferemnces. I agree.

However, I personally still would not care who won or loss the actual NC game.
