Typical Auburn ... get rid of the president and keep Big Ears.

Amazing what a pathetic win over Alabama did for a worthless cigar-smoking piece of work like Big Ears.

Can you imagine the heat this poor bastid Walker got ... blamed for all AU's recruiting woes. And Tubby is a lowlife enough to get his allies within to turn it into a Civil War ... this plays out sweet for LSU ... we'll cremate these poor bastids for years to come.

I can hear Alabama's recruiting pitch to these kids ... Tuberville's gonna be gone next year ... why would you want to go there.

ALABAMA WITH A TOP 10 CLASS & AU not even on the board ...
man, that had to be one hot seat.

Walker stepping down at this time ...

WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING WILL NOT HELP AU RECRUITING

Alabama FB (AU & UA) is a disgrace to the SEC. This is the lowest point in recent history for Alabama FB. This crap ... on top of the UA probation and the "Phatz is one of the ratz" release is just
    too damned much.

LSU needs to keep this case of combined ... RABIES, CHOLERA & PLAGUE .... far far away from Baton Rouge.

This administrative mess is what has killed AU recruiting this year, not Bama. Recruits think The Tube has only got a year to win the SEC or he's gone. About two more heads need to roll including Louder, the Godfather.

A school that doesn't support its coach has already lost. This is a smart move by Auburn. They need to clean house and they realize it.

Thing that make you go, "Hmmmmmm"

As usual, Ramah goes off on a predictable rant but is far off the actual mark.

Red, you've got it correct. The "Petrino-gate" fiasco had very little to do with the removal of Walker, and eventually Housel (AD) and Lowder (BoT). The Louisville trip was just one straw on the camel's back...... consider it a catalyst.

This whole mess is about politics - real and contrived - something that Louisianan's should know quite a bit about. Don't confuse your perception of CTT with the reason's for Walker's departure. His "resignation" had far more to do with university accreditation issues and his fractured relationship with Governor Riley than anything else.

Housel will also be removed from the AD position, but may be retained in another capacity - we'll see.

Oh, and one more thing, Auburn's recruiting demise has been greatly exaggerated. Of course it is not in the same neighborhood as LSU's recruiting season (few are) , but Auburn will be just fine and will give LSU a competitive game next season.

    Good Thing

Getting rid of Walker is a start, but Lowder is the guy that really needs to go. Rumors that he is going to sue SACS tell me that Gov Riley needs to step in there as well. The integrity of the institution is much more important than any football game. That's why I like what Emmert is getting done in the classrooms at LSU.

As far as politics go, Louisiana has the reputation, but Alabama politics are just as bad. Some of the things that happened while I was stationed in Montgomery would put Edwin Edwards to shame. Alabama politics are about as vicious as it gets anywhere.

Bottom line is while the media and ncaa are focusing on the SEC's dirty laundry you can bet the dirty deals are going on outside the SEC. I wonder how dirty pac-10 is right now,or any other conference that has their hand under the table right now. The desire to win to a point where the coaches and administration cross the line is NOT confined to the Southeastern Conference. If the ncaa would stop their obsessive focus on the SEC they may just catch other institutions breaking their rules.

    Amen,

The NCAA is prejudice and only goes after what they want to overlooking thier favorites here and there.

and or slapping programs on the wrist while giving the axe to others for the same offense.

LSU basketball vs Michigan for example

Correct about Alabama politics......and about the stuff going around the SEC. This whole deal about Phil Fulmer being involved in the witch hunt priot to Bama's sanctions is really stiiring things up in Tide-ville. This whole incident is going to get nasty before it's all over with.

Yeah, it's great to be in Alabama, huh ... where the wind comes sweeping off the plain, er, sewer.

We're looking forward to that competitive game next year ... maybe Caddy will get 75 yards rushing this time.

    Who's the QB gonna be?

LSU likes playing hotshots named Jason. :D
