I don't think anyone has brought this up, but I think we should be hoping Arkansas is undefeated when they come into Tiger Stadium so a win would give us help with the BCS calculation. It's a credit for a win over either a top 10 or 15 team (not sure). Arkansas would still be in the top 10 with only 1 loss (to us) at season's end. If we beat Auburn, there's no way they would be in the top 15 with three losses. If anyone has a link to that sliding scale BCS "win over top whatever team" please post because it's been about a year since I've looked at it (and they may have made some modifications). P.S. You also get to laugh at Tubby's facial expressions when they get punked if you root for Arkansas. Either way, it's a win-lose situation so it's a good bet to hedge.
I want it to go into 5 OTs and then Arky pulls it off. Then I want Au to go to 5 OTs against MSU next week and lose. Then I want to hang 50 points on them. Then I want AU to lose every remaining game on their schedule by 50 points. That pretty much sums up my feelings toward AUburnt.
I'd like to see 'em both lose. So... It really doen't matter. Let's just beat them both when it is our turn.
You are mostly right, but I think (not certain) that it dosen't matter where they were ranked before you play them, I think it's where they end up at the end of the year that decides how many points you get. Georgia could be another team that gives us some points in that respect. Or whoever we play in the SEC CG if we were to make it.
If you get "bonus points" by beating a Top 10 team. -1.0 for #1 , -0.9 for #2 and son on, you want the lowest point total like in golf.
