Here is your post on WEN: I talked to TT outside the meeting area in private before the event. I asked him what we could do to tone the hate that is developing between Auburn and LSU. He said we are trying but it's tough when you go to BR and experience some of the things that have happened. He said he would talk to Coach Saban and try to get all this behind and move on from here. he hopes all of us will be gracious hosts to the LSU fans Sept. 18. i wish the LSU fans could talk to TT in person. He is such a nice guy and the type of coach you would like for your son to play for. "it's tough when you go to BR and experience some of the things that have happened." Exactly what things Proud Tiger? Don't you think Tubs is implying that these are things that LSU fans did and not Auburn fans? What exactly will he tell Coach Saban?
Red55, you were right when you said, "But for every reasonble, serious AU and LSU fan on the Internet, There are three teenagers hiding behind their keyboards that are only interested in smack talk and perpetuating the myths. Good luck reaching those nimrods."
First let me say I personally think it's in bad taste to translate someone's post from another board without asking first but that's OK. If I translated some post here to WEN we could really get the hate thing stirred up. Anyhow, I wasn't trying to hide anything and I think you see I said nothing inconsistent with what I posted here. As far as the "incidents" he referred to, he didn't elaborte or even use an example. I can only assume it's some of the ones that happened a couple of years ago. And no, he didn't say Auburn fans are angels either. In the spirit of this whole thing, I don't want to talk about past incidents anymore but just move on to better relationships. Coach TT didn't say what he would talk to Coach Saban about. It was my suggestion of how to start a the process recognizing that most of respect our HCs. Keep in mind I caught him totally off guard with this and obviously he had not given it a lot of thought. He simply agreed he would do what he could and it was time to move on. He in no way bad mouthed LSU or hinted at any anymosity. Let me add, if you can find any post I have EVER made on WEN that bad mouths LSU except for the usual kidding around with the LSU guys posting there, you have my permission to translate them here. Does the same apply with you?

I really don't think it was meant maliciously, its just funny. But Red55 sure has no problem calling someone a nimrod though.... to the delight of TigerWar. pot meet kettle. auburn fans on this board seem to relish in this topic. am I the only one who thinks its a subtle way to slam LSU fans on our own board? I notice on the Auburn board (not on the LSU board) it is pointed out that making things better is "tough" to do when you experince the things that have happened to them at LSU? Blame it all on LSU. Same ole auburn song and dance here. Blame it on LSU and over dramatize it. I guess TT doesn't think the cigar, the band, or the logo incident had anything to do with the dislike of him, his teams and by association his fans. but hes a nice guy.
No deal from me, I hate Auburn and thats it. I won't treat fans bad at LSU because they follow a sorry team like Auburn, but I won't go out of my way to be nice either. Auburn and Tubby can shove it............ o:
I don't know about old movies Arafat, but you wouldn't recognize an olive branch if you saw it. :hihi: Seriously, I started this thread by referring to an earlier "discussion" of all the so-call incidents. We talked about meeing half way and trying to take some positive actions. I was just reporting I had done that in my own small way. If you can't overcome the past and want to stay in it, that's your choice. If you think I'm a bad ass here just ask Brett to kick me off.
