SabanFan will especially love this comment:

    "That was an ugly win".

Anybody that thought AU had even a remote chance to unseat Big Media's choice of matchup (USC-OU) is not a student of CFB. Likewise, anybody that believed AU was in a position to "blow it" tonight is less than a student of the game..... get real. Just another chance to bash AU from those with an agenda...

Undefeated....... 12-0....the best team in the nation.

It REALLY hurts to say it, but Tubby showed the tiniest measure of class by not running it in on Tenn at the end.

If we beat Va. Tech in the Sugar Bowl, we will end up #2. Not bad.

    No.

The 2003 National Championship :champs: LSU Tigers would not allow any RB 11 carries for 182 yards..16.5 YPC. LSU had the #1 Defense in the country, Auburn does not.

He also showed some class in his post game comments. Something like: "The system is set up to match #1 and #2, and that's what we agreed to, etc." Were you LISTENING, Pete Carrol???

Anyone think AU still has a chance for a "Pete Carrol" championship, if they blowout Va Tech and USC or OU squeak out an ugly win in the Orange? Perhaps, the media would change their minds and vote AU #1?

Not a chance in hell. OU is already #1 in most of the computer polls, if they win the humans will agree with the machines. If USC wins then the computers will be in agreement with the humans. No way AU can overcome the system this year.

Sure it is possible. How do YOU know how voters will vote. Do you forget that OU and Aubarn have basically split the second place votes in recent weeks? If OU barely beats USC and Aubarn blows away a Va Tech.... Then certainly it is possible for the AP to vote Aubarn as #1 and have a repeat of last year's results.
