So by the end of the season, the SEC will appear as strong as ever or no?

So far, Muschamp's absence has hardly been noted. The new guy is doing a pretty fine job.

He's already up there, you just can't see him.

    Re: Breaking News

I'll give you that, but we have yet to see if your new DC's defense can contain a viable threat on offense. LSU will be the Auburn D's first challenge simply based on the run game and the downfield blocking schemes that Crowton has brought to the table and our receivers seem to be close to perfecting that turn slants into 30 yard gains. If LSU is held under 300 yards, I'll admit that Auburn's D is as advertised. As of now, I don't know...Muschamp is one of the best.

Absolutely no argument from me about Muschamp's talent. The guy is one of the best without a doubt. I was skeptical about Rhoads at first (stole him from Pitt??!?) But the defense looks to be much more fundamentally sound this year, with fewer missed tackles. LSU is definitely a huge test for this unit and I can't wait to see how they perform.

    Re: Breaking News

Auburn's always been full of solid tacklers, so I haven't noticed there. I think we'll both be watching closely when LSU's offense is on the field. So far, our offense looks like it's working pretty well (despite what others on the board think), but we haven't seen a real defense yet. The same goes for Auburn's D...so far, so good. This game will tell all of us a lot.
