Re: Breaking News This has always been Auburn's forte'. If they had had an inkling of a prolific offense for the past three years or so, they would have been world-beaters. Unfortunately, now that they have moved on to improve said offense, they lost Muschamp. Just bad timing. And I don't particularly buy into the personnel argument. Crowton helped win a NC last year with guys recruited to run Jimbo's offense. HE adapted to THEM long enough to get them rolling under his system. Without watching a game, I would venture to guess that Franklin is trying to do too much at once instead of easing his players into their new roles.
It will be filled with emotions no doubt but odds are we haven't progressed enough at this point to handle their defense. Their defense is very good and we've yet to prove that we've improved enough to make a believer out of me just yet. We're VERY VERY young at some key positions and I'm not sure they'll be enough "seasoned" to pull a win out. I'm basing this off of assuming da barn's offense will improve as the year goes on and they still won't be struggling as they are now. But if by chance they haven't improved and they still look like they're dancing with two left feet then I'll feel better about the game.
Well said and in the spirit of the thread you simply can't wait to see, then understand where Auburn really is. Hope we can give you all the dater you need without showing you our entire tool box. I expect you will see a great majority of their play book and that is okay. We don't mind providing either team that kind of exposure. :yelwink2:
I'm sure y'alls defense will require them to implement their entire offense. In games like these you don't purposely hold anything back. The game is too important. I'm sure more than just Alabama's staff will be watching and taking notes.
Re: Breaking News Maybe so, but your remarks were right on target. Auburn is beatable. No doubt about it. But LSU's passing game, punting/kicking game and defensive secondary needs to sharpen up if the Tigers (Bengals) are going to capitalize on Auburn's shortcomings.
How about some a thrilling recap of the Auburn-MSU game courtesy of edsbs.com?
at some point your players are going to click. I just hope its not this week. To be honest i dont believe the SEC is as strong as the past few years. We have a bunch of good teams but no dominant ones. The thing is i think by the end of the season we are going to have some really good teams. LSU qb's need to improve in the passing game or we will struggle against quality defenses. Thats what worries me this week. Might be a field position game.
Written the same week that the SEC became the first conference to ever have 5 teams in the top ten? What is dominant? Only #1-#3? The SEC is king until they are dethroned. Remember, a 2 loss LSU was dominant against tOSU last year, and a 1 loss UF was dominant against tOSU the year before.
