At Auburn, UGA leads the series 11-8-1. At Athens, Auburn leads the series 17-8. (On neutral sites, UGA leads the series 27-26-6). Georgia has not beaten Auburn in Athens since 1991. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nick Saban may be a great coach, but there is nothing he can do to put an end to AU's dominance of UGA in Athens. Mark Richt hasn't been able to put a stop to it either.
He lost on the goal-line to Auburn in Athens in his first try and then beat Auburn last year. 1 loss and he can't stop it? Is Tubberville going to stop Auburn's empty SEC Championship Trophy case the last 15 years? Because Saban and Richt did it.
I agree that Saban has nothing to do with the Auburn-UGA game. I was making an analogy between LSU-Alabama and UGA-Auburn and the fact that both LSU and UGA have coaches that have turned their repsective programs around. I think Auburn has a pretty good football team. But, I think they will lose to LSU this Saturday and will lose to Georgia come november. My original post about you guys losing to Alabama was just a little trash talk
I dont think any Auburn fan has forgotten about the way our season started. But I think most real Auburn fans are pretty pleased with the way things are going now. I dont know anyone that really expected us to win the national title. Our goal was to win the SEC and we've got a pretty good view from the top of the west now. 31-7, smoke em' if ya got em'!
