How about whenever he went into college station in the middle of the morning and kicked the shit out of the Heisman winner? You know the team that handed Bama it's home loss? Oh that wasn't a Les Miles coached team was it?
At the time that A & M beat Bama, I was happy that happened. Why not? We'd beaten Johnny Football and caused the Heisman talk to shut up when we intercepted him 4 times, along with Freak Johnson tea-bagging JM after a gruesome sack in the 4th quarter. Then, teams ahead of freakin' Bama started losing like it was 2007, and that Bama bastard made it back into the NCG. And...........................beating Bama won A & M the freakin' Heisman. 2012 is a season that I just could've done without.
What in the holy fucking hell does Les Miles have to do to get some goddamn respect, shit a crystal football? Dan Mullen and James Franklin rated higher? Neither of which have finished higher than 3rd in their respective divisions, let alone conference? This shit is garbage. Kevin Sumlin? Don't make me laugh, our 7th ranked head coach walked up to the 12th man, stuck his his fist in their ass, (they enjoyed it btw) with ZERO offense, against Johnny Foosball the great. Gimme a fucking break. And Richt? The only current SEC coach other than Spurrier to be at their program longer than 6 years and have no crystal to show for it?
Between the Mississippi Meltdown and the Grass Eating, I don't think he is ever gonna get respect at the national level. I think he is perceived, nationally, as a goof. As the tee shirt sez, "Haters gonna hate." Just more motivation to kick some ass this season! Geaux Tigers!
It's how you finish that they remember, not how you start. BTW, I did not write the article, just giving my opinion why he is rated as low as he is.
Kind of like TCU finishing 7-6. 4-5 in the conf. Maybe more of the same? Everyone knows LSU made a major upgrade with the hire of Cam. Most of the Coaches I know feel the same way. It takes slow people a little longer to see the light. I see this season more than some. Like the Dodge saying, "The Rules have Changed." TCU will be the first team to see what LSU can do. Can't wait for Dallas. Can't wait for the start, get ready folks.
This list looks a lot like the author decided from the beginning that Les Miles was a middle-of-the-SEC coach and only later thought about who was actually coaching in the SEC.
