Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU If not for the info on this board we would be lost. Again another TP article quotes Calhoun's coach as saying, "LSU is recruiting him as a running back, but he has the ability to play cornerback." The TP lists him as 5-11, 180 lbs.
Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU 5"11" 180 is a lot thicker than 6" 175. Something tells me he might end up on the offensive side of the ball as a Skyler Green type. Would anybody mind that?
Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU Georgia fans are not happy with his choice at all. They are bashing the kid left and right and claiming that our facilities are in desperate need of renovations, etc... Check the comments below the article. http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/s...uit/entries/2008/02/27/tuckers_calhoun_1.html
Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU Apparently Calhoun was UGA's #1 priority at CB. This is probably the biggest get out of Georgia for Miles & staff.
Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU I just hope that Calhoun and the other early commits stay put. We shall see once the season starts and recruiting really gets going if they stay solid.
Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU I can't think of a single commit that Miles & staff have lost at LSU (that we didn't mind losing). That doesn't guarantee anything for these guys, but it definitely gives a solid level of comfort.
Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU I agree with everything you said. Its probably more just the fact that LSU normally doesnt do this well, this early with so many recruits. I know in part its due to the limited schollys as well as :crystal:. This is just something I have to get use to because kids will want to be a part of LSU.
Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU CParso, has this kid ever played CB before? Why is everyone certain he will be so good at the position?
Re: Drayton Calhoun commits to LSU He didn't play CB any last year, not sure about before that. He's a great athlete - could be a slot WR or CB, just like John Williams & Ron Brooks.
