Yes, it does seem wrong. It reminds me of a post from a Tiger fan who visited Columbia, South Carolina, for an LSU/SC game in (I think) '03. He posted about visiting all of the Gamecock tailgates that were barbecuing chicken and how it was wrong to eat your own mascot.

So far, my gameday menu (since I still haven't found tickets that I'm willing to pay for):

    chicken, pork, and sausage jambalaya
    crawfish fettucine
    assorted finger foods
    lots of alcoholic beverages

And last night @ dinner, G-LSU's wife volunteered to make homemade Natchitoches meat pies.

    sounds good!

i havent had natchitoches meat pies in a while. may have to add that to my menu. mine is probably shaping up something like this....

    corndogs for breakfast (of course!)

    boudin balls
    natchitoches meat pies
    duck/sausage/oyster gumbo
bread pudding with whiskey or rum sauce

lots of trainers and abita amber

Of course, you must continue the corndogs for breakfast.

Oh, and I found another great semi-mild alcholic beverage at a pool party this summer. Smirnoff Ice Green Apple Bite--tastes like a Jolly Rancher. You should check that out!

Or you could find some Zima and put actual jolly ranchers in it. Used to be a hit with the ladies in high school.

Quick Corndog story, after the 2008 season, LSU was to play Ga. Tech. in the Chick-fil-a Bowl. I walked into a restaurant up in Atlanta with my sisters that lived up there. Once inside some friends of my sisters saw my LSU shirt, some of them being from Ga. Tech. One let out, "I thought I smelled Corndogs!" My reply, "Ya'll do know the National Championship Crystal Trophy smells like Corndogs, too bad Tech. will never get to sniff one!" It was better the next trip up that way, 38-3 was only fitting. :tigereye:

It's looking like I'm going to be traveling on game day. I fear my game meal is going to be a $16 room-service club sandwich. :bncry:

I have to say that edam cheese ball and the jalapeno is fine. You can go to msucheese.com and order some for game night. I will be in Starkville watching our Tigers whip the dawgs enjoying some myself.:tigereye:
