Good point cgisclair, I know it isn't much of a deficit that they have had to overcome against UO but we have seen good teams get behind by 2 touchdowns and crumble or not have the fight to get into the game. I guess a real test would be if they went behind by 21 and see if they would claw their way back. I think they have some fight in them. If they were behind by 2 TD's at halftime I think they are the type of team that would fight it out. The teams that USC plays don't have they same fighting mentality. When USC hangs a 3 TD lead on their opponents, those teams continue to collapse. I would really like to see LSU/USC in the Rose Bowl. It would be a good game, only if our defense scheme was good.
You guys have no faith in LSU do you? we BARELY beat this team, and you still think they are terrible... Shows just how good all of you think we are...
LSU is a very good team. The ASU game was our 1st game of the year. We did not play that good of a game and we still beat them. If we play that game at home and it is our 2nd game of the year we beat them hands down. ASU will not beat USC, no one in the PAC ten can beat them. The media just has to say Cal & ASU will or could upset them or the rubber men wouldn't look so good after kicking everyone ass.
As much as we hate fUSC and hope someone kicks their teeth in, the fact is they are almost as good as they are over-rated. They have two things every other team doesn't... Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart... and that gives them an edge even when all else appears equal. We can criticize the Pac-10 all day long... and justify it well... but the fact is USC is ranked # 1 for a reason... and it's not because of a media conspiracy. They are actually good.
Hawker, USC is very good. The only thing that concerns me is the way anyone they play is built up to make the win even bigger than it was. USC deserved the #1 spot at this time. Maybe ND can make a run at them.
Sometimes I wonder if they start games out flat on purpose... so it makes the other team look better... Then just run over them after the first quarter, making it seem like a great comeback to a good team... Think about it... it's a conspiracy..:hihi::rofl::rofl: Oregon did look good for one quarter though.
I have noticed lately from some reports that USC players were starting to complain about not getting enough PT, etc., along with big-time smack talk about how playing Arkansas wasn't like even playing a game. At some point, it's entirely possible that USC will beat themselves. With that being said, I'll admit, I haven't watched them play this year. But the same things that are said about the Trojans has been said about other teams in the past (can anyone say '03 OU?). We play the games for a reason. Anything can (and usually does) happen.
