I don't follow MLB like I use to, but when did the Astros move to the American League? I noticed them playing the Red Sox in the playoffs
Astros-Yankees starts today. Could be a slugfest. Astros will win if Verlander, Keuchel and company can maintain the dominant pitching of recent weeks. Yanks can't matchup with starters but their bullpen might be the best overall in baseball. They are on a roll after coming back from 2 games down against the red hot Indians. Good thing about that is it means Houston will have home field advantage. I'm going to call it Astros in 7.
Gregorious and Sanchez scare the hell out of me. Keuchel has a 1.42 era lifetime vs the yanks and Tanaka has a 10+ era vs the stros. But Tanaka has been unhittable his last 2 outings. This is gonna be a hell of a series. I'm stoked but the yanks are hot.
How long have the Astros been in the new park? Hell, I'm so old I remember when they were the Colt 45s. Saw my first MLB game in that park.
Long enough that the park isn't new anymore. It opened as Astros Field in 2000 before becoming Enron Field and then The Ballpark at Union Station before Minute Maid bought the naming rights.
