If Mauck stays, get ready to buy your Orange Bowl tickets.

    True rumor, but worth repeating...

I heard that Mauck said that he is the 3rd best QB on the team. That being true, he goes out on top and turns the reins over to one of the most capable RSFR.

My 2 cents...If he does stay, he will be the starter in the fall. If he has a bad game and one of the RSFR step in and play very well, the QB controvesy will begin, with one of the RSFR winning out.

I don't want to detract in any way from what Matt Mauck accomplished this year, but it would be nice to have a QB who can throw the long ball well. That would open up the offense even more. It's just a question of what kind of leadership skills Russell and Flynn have, because that's where Mauck was at his best.

It is for sure a tough decision to make. That is where our 3 million dollar a year coach comes in. I would like to see Matt stay and play and tutor the young QB's. He is a proven leader and could greatly improve our offense. Coach Saban knows what he is doing. Hell, I would not be suprised if he knew already if Matt was staying. Tigers to Orange. or, Orange Tigers. anyway,it's pretty exciting.

Matt Mauck is a good QB, not great. The success this year was due largely to the defense. We were like the Ravens of 3 years ago but with a little more offense. All the offense had to do was put 14-21 points on the board and not turn the ball over.

If Matt comes back next year I don't think that he will automatically be the starter on opening night. I think he will be 1st string going into spring and fall practices but then it will be a competition. The RSF will be given a chance to practice with the first team and if they are better than Matt, they will start.

If you think about it, it would be better for one of the RSF to start at the beginning of the season and get some work against the rent a wins (they aren't all bad) so they can have some experience going into the killer road stretch.

Whoever Coach Saban puts on the field, though, I will trust them as the player who gives us the best chance to win.

The running backs are going to make it easier for one of the Freshmen to step up next year and be the starter if Mauck leaves

The most ludicrous comment Michael Clayton will ever hear in his life would be if Tiger777 came up to him and said...

"You should stay because you'll only be the 4th of 5th wideout taken, and you'll only be a late first round pick."

Who are you to talk about smart and dumb when you can't tell the difference between a preposition (to) and the adverb (too).

Someone on an LSU internet message board who can't spell whose g/f sees MM and his fiance at Target opining about the relative level of intelligence of a NFL draft, life changing, future jumpstarting decision by Michael Clayton...

You have to love it, don't you?
