This is not LSU related, but I wanted to get the reaction of the board on this. The Ascension Catholic High head coach was forced to sign a contract to not run up the score on other teams and to try to keep the games within 14 points. I can understand not wanting to run up the score, but to try to keep the games within 14 points is ridiculous and frankly unethical by the administration. Teams quickly overcome 14 point deficits quite often. Also, it prevents your 2nd and 3rd string teams from scoring when you get a lead. It can even prevent the 2nd team from playing because you don't want to lose your 14 point lead. And if you get a 14 point lead are you supposed to start kneeling on each play even if it's the 1st quarter? That's more humiliating to your opponent than running up the score.
If he is a good enough coach to have his teams totally outclass the opposition he would have no trouble finding another job. He is a pussy for signing it.
I agree that he shouldn't have signed it, but I also think it was a dirt bag move to ask him to sign it.
The Advocate. He was supposedly fired for insubordination and on-field passes. The whole thing is bizarre. https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/article_06f5d434-ff52-11e8-a694-9b6fee94ee97.html
The pussy is the admin(s) who instituted the policy. He was going to be forced out one way or another, IMO. As you say, he will have no trouble finding another job. I don't really get the on-field pass part of this story, unless its just pure jealousy on the part of parents/supporters who couldn't afford the privilege.
