Powerful. Trying to ID his decorations. That's the Silver Star on top with what looks like a "V for Valor" pin affixed. Second row, l-r: Navy and Marine Corps Medal, Good Conduct Medal, (I think) China Service Medal with an oak cluster; which usually means a second award of the same medal. Can't ID anything on the bottom row. Can any of our servicemen help?
Top right is American Defense Medal, the bottom row is really difficult without seeing more of them. Could be from another service or some vietnam era stuff. No CAB which is interesting from listening to him I'd expect to see that up there but its not. The bottom left looks like some kind of Humanitarian medal or some other NATO stuff but it doesn't line up with what is out there today, who knows. I still respect the old warrior.
