This season will still go down in LSU history as a great season. LSU showed tremendous heart and fight after getting dealt a low blow early by Tennessee. And after suffering thru the rest of the Vols' season, I have no idea what sparked the offense that night. But you didn't quit. You fought back and earned a trip to the championship game where there were 10 other SEC teams wishing they could be where you were tonight. Keep the spirit high. You're going to go to a major bowl game.
I think we need to open up our offense a lot more in the bowl game and next year. I think RP might get past JR to start next year...and RP's elusivness aka Vick and Shockley will bring a new dimension to our offense. HOWEVER, i think Jimbo's position with the team needs to be looked at....this is two years of mediocre play calling.
No matter what happened tonight, I will be caught wearing my purple and gold tomorrow in the state of Mississippi, and anywheres else I may be. In fact I have been to Dover and Bristol and I wore my purple and gold there. People there looked at me like I was something stupid, but that is ok, I still represented the LSU TIGERS with pride. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
This was almost too painful to watch. But win or lose I love my Tigers. One thing that has not been stressed is having to play eleven games in a row without a break. Just looked like a tired team out there tonight as evidenced by the numerous mental errors that were made. Not to take anything away from Georgia though because they played a great game. We would have had to bring our 'A' game to win this game and we didn't, so congrats to the Dawgs. Now, let's get our guys rested and heeled up and go win us a friggin bowl game. 11-2 ain't bad no matter what we'll be reading on this board the next few weeks.:thumb: :geauxtige
But in a recent press interview with Kyle Williams this week, he did admit that 11 games do wear you out a bit. When Georgia was up 14, I was still hopeful they can fight back, and they did tried; the offensive effort was killed by several critical penalties they took the air out of team. So, I guess you were right about the team's identity catching up. The loss of Daniels was significant. It was a sad loss; but I am still very proud of this team for what they went through and achieved.:thumb: ________ LovelyWendie99
for two years now our offense has underachieved. with the talent we have on that side of the ball there is no excuse to perform as we did tonight rushing and passing. Les is not to blame for that IMO, Jimbo is.
