Big, relatively huge. He had, at least a “waiting room”, an office, and behind that, his quarters. I would say the office compartment was something like 15 or 20 by 35 or 40.
I used to visit our satellite tracking station & GPS station there annually. Long ass flight even flying business class to Singapore.
a while back I sent hwr this pm, thought you all might be interested. (HWR,.. hope I haven't overstepped your permission to share) ...................... I enjoy your posts, you're a good egg. I've often wondered, how high up you were in the Navy? I've got the impression, you were a big shot ................... I was not much of a big deal. I retired as an O-5 (Lt Col equivalent) before I put on Captain eagles. Had a three phase career. 8 years as a surface navy shipdriver, 4 years operational intelligence (hunt for Red October), then got an MBA on the navy’s dime and spent last 8 years in money jobs, first at navy, then DIA (worked for General Clapper), then kind of hybrid OSD job. I ended up working for so many guys that made Admiral (which is real achievement) really had a unique/charmed career. Oh, my USNA best friend rose to a very high level of the navy, too.
KY jelly looked like crap vs Vuls . They let their Dawgs loss beat them twice. Don’t let it happen tonight in Fuckitville
HWR Please correct me I'm wrong. Reading the post it appears as though you chose to retire as an O-5 rather than accepting a promotion to O-6. Am I interpreting it correctly?
