This is simply the best season ever. I am grateful to be able to watch it, remember it and be able to tell "I saw the 2011 Tigers play" for the rest of my life.
I am glad the defense laid the wood on Wilson when they were in the red zone. I think it did affected Wilson from that point on with that neck stinger they were talking about on TV. That was hugh.
Our defense is "deceptively" good. Alabama has monsters and we have smaller (not by much), quicker (not by much) defensive guys that are usually technically sound with a nose for the ball. I've not watched GA and the CBS talking heads were giving GA "more than a puncher's chance". I think Arkansas, Oregon and certainly Alabama were better when we played them - and we won. We played a bruising and fast Alabama to a draw in regulation and destroyed both explosive offensive powers - Oregon and Arkansas. Yes, GA is good but WHO have they amassed their eight game streak against? Doesn't mean they aren't as good as LSU, AL and AR on any given day but a better chance than Bama and Arkansas? I struggle a little bit trying to process that.
I love this team, what a fun year. I am getting ever so close to calling LSU the dynasty USC wanted to be! Thank You football team, Thank You Coach Les Miles for a season I will never forget, Thank You Coach Chavis, you should get a lot of credit too!
